Been awhile since we checked in with y’all.
I don’t think I’ve said it enough …just how lucky I am to get to play some great music with some great veteran players who are ALL GREAT guys. It just makes the experience so much more enjoyable…Thank you fellas !
The BUZZTONES Rythm Revue had a real good year in 2017.We closed out the season at Mt Wachusetts Coppertop Lounge. Quite a
Cool place .. I’d not been to the Ski Area in years and it was nice to see all the additions..really nice staff too ! The Days weather was fraught with lots of snow and cold making the driving a bit challenging …but after our arrival ,it was perfect…what else would one want while skiing at Christmastime ?? The entire experience was one we hope to repeat next year.
We also played a bunch of Private events & Parties. Father’s Day for the third time at the sSouth Shore Arts Fest on the Common in Cohasset, MA. We’re booked again for this year and have been seeing a lot of family & friends at this fun Day. The Grafton Common show was another memorable family oriented daytime performance.
Another date that stands out is our Sunday Gigs at Mile Marker One in Gloucester. We start early (4PM) and end early . This year they asked for more (not cowbell) and we were glad to oblige.
We’re constantly trying to find new material and managed to add a bunch to our repertoire last year..
For 2018 We are booked for a bunch dates at Jetty and hoping to return for a bunch of more engagements on Cape Cod… At The Pilot House.

what is a blog? It rhymes with dog but ain’t a bog…it ain’t a log ..perhaps a bit of both..who came up with the term? What does it mean ?? Big Lousy Opinion Generator ?? I know, weak ,but ….here goes.. Over the past few weeks we’ve added a few new tunes ,but sadly, you won’t get to hear them unless you come to one of our shows…but wait ! There’s more (just like an infomercial!).. We hope to release a new CD with some of theses soon to be future current hits..Tunes like Homer Banks’ , AINT THAT A LOTTA LOVE, at its intro you ‘ll know the riff was borrowed by Spencer Davis Group…but you’ll no doubt believe it was them what done it first. Au Contraire,they , like so. Many other British Bands revert to pure American Musical Roots to make their hits !! It’s a song that is exemplary of what The BUZZTONES try to do…familiar obscurities.. Oh sure,  some of our live tunes are more standard fare, but when we hit upon these gems , it makes it all worthwhile.Some other fun dance tunes that come to mind are Hound Dog Taylor’s heartbreaking lament, GIMME BACK MY WIG ! Soul Driven interpretation of Al Greens ‘ AINT NO FUN TO ME. You will wanna keep an ear out for some KILLAH Klassic Blues numbers as well like, Muddy Waters, I WANTS TO BE LOVED and Howlin Wolfs’,COOL ROCKIN DADDY/ SHAKE FOR ME Medley. A BUZZTONES Show is always loaded with music meant to get … And KEEP the Dance Floor loaded…
